Nebula
The physical construction of these artworks mirrors its deep philosophical meaning. By placing two distinct blocks of paper together, I created a tactile horizon line where two cosmic planes meet.
Philosophically, this layout explores the concept that the eye does not merely look at the universe—the eye is the universe. Because our entire perception of reality, space, time, and existence is filtered through our sight, everything we know is contained within the act of seeing. The universe only exists because there is an eye to witness it. In these artworks, I have tried to show that the cosmos is personified as a living, breathing network of perception, where the stars, planets, and nebulae are transformed into eye.
Suspended across these dual planes, the floating marks take the shape of cosmic eyes, drifting in perfect balance with the floating stars and swirling galaxies that populate the universe. These floating eyes exist in a free-flowing yet deeply systematic universe. Within this painting, the marks feel spontaneous, yet each line falls exactly where it must to maintain celestial order. They drift like a wandering thought caught in absolute awe—completely weightless, meditative, and transcended by the overwhelming beauty of the universe they both observe and create.
